The last time we met was at the Forum in Sochi, where you, together with industry partners and regular participants of the ExpoElectronica exhibition, held a round table on the development and application of domestic electronic components. We even published a large article on the results of this round table, and, according to the feedback from participants and listeners, it was an interesting event with a lively discussion. The next ExpoElectronica is approaching, what will it be like?

Thank you for your high praise. The past 2024 was another eventful year for the entire industry. We are pleased with our successful cooperation with the forum and plan to continue to support each other. There is interaction in key areas between manufacturers and consumers of Russian electronic components, as well as other types of products, which tends to strengthen and develop. We see our task in promoting further strengthening of communication not only within our industry, but also in related industries for the development of Russian electronics and the information and communication industry. ExpoElectronica 2025 is just around the corner, it once again plans to confirm the status of the largest and most visited exhibition in Russia and the EAEU countries in the field of electronics and information and communication technologies.

Registration of visitors is currently underway. Based on the results of the past exhibition, 71% of our guests confirmed that they prefer ExpoElectronica over similar exhibitions, and the preliminary registration figures confirm this. We expect more than 20 thousand visitors from more than 11 thousand industrial enterprises, from more than 70 regions of Russia and the EAEU countries. And, of course, there will be a significant number of visitors who will participate in the exhibition for the first time, and this is certainly a result of the fact that we are putting serious efforts into attracting a new target audience.

Is an increase in the number of exhibitors expected this year, and will there be any changes in the layout of the exhibition halls? Is it possible to provide some statistics on applications for participation?

The total area of the exhibition will be 35,000 sq.m. This year the exhibition will be held in three halls of the 3rd pavilion of the Crocus Expo IEC: halls 13, 14 and 15. All halls are located on the first floor of the exhibition center. We expect the participation of more than 800 companies: more than 400 from Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and over 350 from China, a number of companies from the UAE, India, the Middle East.

Of course, the core of the exhibition is the key market participants – leading Russian developers, manufacturers and distributors of electronic components, technological equipment and materials for electronics production. These are companies that book a stand a year before the event and carefully prepare for the forum, for them our exhibition is an important platform for maintaining relationships with clients and partners, establishing new contacts.

There will be exhibitors participating in the exhibition for the first time, including about 100 new Russian companies who will present their products.

Among the new participants of the exhibition are suppliers and manufacturers of printed circuit boards, electronic components, equipment and materials for the production of electronics, for example, such companies as Photonics Cloud, EniSemiLab, Aviek, Valcom, Kristallite, Smartemsystems, Ekvant, Quantum, Vital Electronics, Electroindustry-2000, Novatek Group and others. I am especially pleased to note that the interest in the event is steadily growing among contract developers; this year, such companies as Inkata Rus, Malt System, Amungo, Elektronika Plus, Electro Direct, IK Clayton are joining the exhibition.

What new things will Russian developers and manufacturers present?

In total, more than 200 Russian developers and manufacturers in various fields of activity will take part in the exhibition. It is impossible to list all the new products that will be demonstrated at the event, I will only cite some of the most interesting developments.

Of course, microelectronics will be widely represented. For example, the Element group of companies is participating with a joint stand of its enterprises, we will definitely see new products from Mikron, NIIET and other enterprises. JSC Design Center Soyuz will introduce exhibition guests to microcontrollers of the 8051 and RISC-V architecture and other products of the company. The Resurs plant plans to actively promote its resistors for the civilian market, as well as its other products. The Starterkit company will present products based on Allwinner T113, A40i-H, T507-H processors.

One of the leading manufacturers of process equipment, NPP ESTO JSC, will present several XORS plasma-chemical etching and M-RAY vacuum deposition units. Microwave Electronics LLC will demonstrate the TRX-8HP wireless broadband access system, the MWA-400 spectrum and signal analyzer, etc. Elektronika Plus will introduce visitors to the exhibition to a full-cycle development – the CrioSculpt cryolipolysis unit. A new class of ferrite devices – surface-mount circulators – will be presented at the Argus-ET LLC stand. Engineering Group will present magnetrons, ion sources, and a magnetron compensator; Penta 91 – modern highly efficient silicone casting compounds, sealants, and gels; Technotech – its own chemical solutions required in the printed circuit board manufacturing process.

OOO DANA-NN will present film, touch keyboards, instrument faceplates with built-in backlighting and sound. Some supplier companies will demonstrate their own brands: for example, the company PLKSistemy, which supplies software and hardware and systems for industrial automation, will introduce the LANTAN brand, and OOO Uralsvyazsnab will introduce its own brand of components for the production of electronics DANEL. At the stand of the company Diagnostics-M, you can see the X-ray unit for tomographic studies "Jaguar".

In the trend of import substitution, some companies will present worthy analogues of foreign products: JSC GC Electroninvest - a new series of second-generation secondary power sources SPN2, which are partially analogous to IVEPs of foreign manufacturers Traco Power, Murata; LLC Mig Trading - a high-precision analog microwave signal generator MBG100 with many additional options, an analogue of generators from Rohde & Schwarz and Keysight.

Traditionally, the exhibition of manufacturers from the People's Republic of China attracts great interest from visitors. Who and in what numbers are represented this time?

We are still heavily dependent on partnerships with China and other Southeast Asian countries, which, of course, is reflected in the number of participants from these countries. This year's Chinese exposition will be extensive and will be represented by both new companies seeking to work in our market and companies that already have experience and a reputation in Russia. Not only electronic components will be presented, but also equipment for printed circuit boards, equipment and materials for soldering and assembly, and other products. It should be said that many Chinese companies are now opening full-fledged representative offices in Russia, which makes working with them much easier.

The biggest challenge for us in working with Chinese companies is their inexhaustible energy and increased activity on the exhibition floor. This is explained by the difference in mentality, but perhaps in some ways it makes sense for us to follow their example.

Last year, in an interview with our publication, you announced a new section of the exhibition dedicated to information technology and digital solutions. This year, the section has been transformed into a separate exhibition, ExpoCifra, which you are actively promoting now. What is the reason for the decision to create a full-fledged exhibition on the topic of IT?

Yes, I am pleased to share our achievements in this direction: we have made a big step in the development of the ExpoCifra exhibition, which will be held jointly with ExpoElectronica.

Demand for final solutions in the field of IT and digitalization at ExpoElectronica is growing annually. For example, last year this topic attracted more than 3 thousand specialists.

The organization and holding of a separate full-fledged exhibition ExpoCifra on the same site as ExpoElectronica will allow more active development of cooperation between the electronics industry and related industries. Focusing on this area will satisfy the demand of the professional audience interested in domestic IT solutions, information security, automation and digitalization of business and production.

This year's exhibition will feature Russian manufacturers of computing equipment, specialized PACs, telecommunications equipment, automation systems, office equipment and consumer electronics, and software developers for various areas of application from education to production.

For example, this year the company "ASCON" will present PLM solutions for instrumentation, and "Eremex" - OS-supported products based on the Delta Design platform: Windows, different versions of Linux. The company "Software Labs" will release the long-awaited Russian software package for reliability department engineers - software for calculating reliability and analyzing failures MARS

Promtekhsibir LLC will demonstrate its own electronic devices before integrating them into automation systems, including the IT-2 current source, USB-ARINC, short circuit and breakage board, DEC-U3 controller, automation cabinet, etc.

Specialists from AVK Consulting LLC will talk about their business management system BusinessPad, which in a single space combines the management of finances, production, sales, logistics, personnel and marketing.

Electronics is the heart of digitalization and high technology, so we are confident that the symbiosis of electronics and information technology on our site will give businesses significantly more opportunities for the development of technological and inter-industry cooperation.

And how is the work on promoting robotics going within the framework of the exhibition? This sector has been one of the most interesting sites to visit within the framework of the exhibition for several years now.

When we started this project three years ago with our partners – the Association “Consortium of Robotics and Intelligent Control Systems” – we understood that there was a long way to go. However, events, in my opinion, began to unfold much faster, and now we hear about the need to develop and support robotics every day. A state program has been adopted in this area, and, of course, we are trying to provide our partners with all the conditions for Russian robotics to be properly presented at the exhibition.

ExpoElectronica has always had a rich business program. What topics for discussion will be offered in 2025? Can you highlight several events that, in your opinion, are most interesting to the audience?

The business program will truly become a center of attraction for industry experts this year and will cover a wide range of relevant topics related to the development of electronics, robotics and digital technologies. We tried to put together a program that will allow participants to take a comprehensive look at modern trends and challenges, so to speak, from different positions: government and engineering work, as well as from the point of view of information security.

The business program will include discussions on a number of important issues, such as trends and forecasts for the development of the electronics industry, localization of production in Russia, prospects and challenges associated with the development of electronic engineering, training of specialists and methods for resolving issues in the field of personnel policy.

It is difficult to single out any particular event, as each of them is significant in its own way for different categories of visitors to the exhibition. For our part, we try to make their stay at the exhibition comfortable, putting our experience and soul into it. However, I would like to highlight the following events: a plenary session on the development of the electronics industry, where experts will present industry analytics, successful cooperation cases and development prospects; an expert session on trusted PACs, dedicated to current changes in PP719, categorization of critical information infrastructure and successful examples of cooperation between developers and manufacturers; a session on localization, where experts will raise the topic of developing new forms of cooperation and related issues and prospects; a marketing session, where they will talk about product life cycle management and real experience of promoting electronics on the market.

As usual, the ELECTRONICA Award was announced at the exhibition. What nominations await the participants of this year's exhibition?

Of course, we invite Russian developers and manufacturers to take part in the ELECTRONICA Award. The award ceremony for the winners will take place on the third day of the exhibition.

This year, companies will be able to apply for the award in 10 nominations, such as "Microelectronics", "Production Outsourcing", "Electronic Component Base", "Technologies and Means of Electronics Production", "Technologies for Critical Information Systems", "Robotics", "Distribution", "Training of Personnel for the Industry", "Localization". In addition, a new nomination has been opened - "Industrial Marketing", in which companies can be recognized for developing the best comprehensive marketing strategy for launching a new product. Our award is evolving, and I am glad that we receive positive feedback every year from both the nominated companies and the expert judges.

As part of the business program of the Microelectronics Forum last year, you announced the launch of the Electronica Connect digital platform. Please tell us more about this experience, what goals and objectives you faced and what opportunities will open up for market participants after its implementation?

Let me start with the fact that the very idea of digital business communities, which ITE is implementing at its key exhibitions in order to develop industry communities, has found recognition and has been highly appreciated in professional circles.

I am pleased to invite everyone to join the Electronica Connect community, whose main mission is to create conditions for effective business communication, knowledge sharing and prompt access to up-to-date information on key market events throughout the year. Let me tell you a little about this modern digital business community. Electronica Connect is designed to unite developers, manufacturers, distributors, end users, integrators, service companies and other representatives of the electronics industry and related industries.

The platform will become a point of intersection for exhibitors and visitors of ExpoElectronica and ExpoCifra. We will strive to attract the widest possible range of specialists, using ExpoElectronica's 27-year history and its reputation in the professional environment. Of course, we are not talking about quick implementation: it may take more than one day, month or even year. However, exhibitors and visitors will be able to receive and evaluate the first results as early as 2025.

For marketers, the community will provide ample opportunities to present their brands, for sellers – to find their customers, for company management – to learn the latest news and also position personal brands. Fast, efficient, safe. We strictly comply with the law on data storage: all data of Connect users is securely stored on the territory of the Russian Federation, their complete safety is ensured.

One of the key community tools will be the Electronica Connect mobile app, which will make participation in the exhibition most effective for both exhibitors and visitors. It includes free matchmaking and lead scanning functions. Matchmaking will allow you to find potential partners in advance, arrange meetings and establish new useful contacts. Lead scanning allows you to quickly collect and systematize data on visitors and exhibitors by simply scanning their badges or ǪR codes. All information is saved in the app and is available for further processing.

By the time the magazine goes to print, our community will be ready to launch, so the whole team invites those who wish to join. A link to install the application will be posted on the exhibition website.

Stay with us, follow the news, tell us about yourself, participate in online events, invite your colleagues, friends and partners. We have created a community for the entire industry, I hope you will appreciate this tool.
