<h2>The growth rate of the Russian big data market is 5 times higher than the global one</h2> In recent years, big data, cloud solutions and analytical systems have become one of the key drivers of the modern economy, acting as a tool for its digital transformation. Moreover, their implementation has become a task of national importance. Below we will talk about the main trends, challenges and prospects of the global and Russian market of big data, analytics and cloud solutions.&nbsp;<h3>Key indicators</h3> The big data, cloud solutions and analytics segment has become one of the most dynamically developing high-tech sectors of the economy. Thus, according to Data Age Report, the global market for big data and analytics tools exceeded $220.2 billion by the end of 2023, with an average annual growth rate of 12%. Cloud solutions demonstrated even greater growth, with spending on them amounting to almost $670 billion in 2023, which is 20% more than in 2022.&nbsp;The Russian big data market is showing impressive dynamics: its growth rate is approximately 5 times higher than the global average. In a certain sense, the “low base” effect plays a role, but one should not discount the desire of Russian companies to implement the latest achievements in order to optimize costs and increase competitiveness.&nbsp;In turn, the cloud solutions segment grows by 30-40% annually. This trend is due to the advantages that cloud solutions provide: cost optimization, expansion of data management and storage capabilities, streamlining of work processes.&nbsp;It is worth noting another feature of the Russian market of big data, analytics and cloud solutions. Until 2022, almost 90% of software was foreign solutions from Microsoft, Tableau, QlikTech, SAS. Now the share of domestic software products (1C-Bitrix, GlowByte) is steadily growing, both due to import substitution and due to better adaptation to Russian realities.&nbsp;An interesting feature of the Russian market of big data, analytics and cloud solutions is the significant share of small and medium businesses among the consumers of such solutions. For example, according to a survey conducted by the Demand Forecast project and the Sravni marketplace, 44% of SME respondents use big data and analytics tools in their daily activities, 20% - cloud solutions. They are used primarily to optimize current business processes and forecasting. Almost half (45%) of respondents noted that they chose domestic software.&nbsp;<h3>Trends and Prospects</h3> What will the market of big data, analytics and cloud solutions be like in the near future? According to expert estimates, by 2030 the volume of investments in cloud solutions in our country will increase threefold, and over a ten-year planning horizon – fivefold.
